Ueno Residence Hotel Matsumoto - Tokyo

Our family had an amazing experience during our city trip. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, with two separate floors equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was also ideal, as it was both quiet and conveniently located close to key attractions. We loved how clean and spacious the accommodation was, with ample room for the kids to play and the entire family to relax.

While we had an overall positive experience, the only downside was that some of the pillows provided were rather flat, which led to a less comfortable sleep for some members of our family. It would have been great if there were spare pillows on offer to allow guests to adjust according to their individual preferences.

The two-floor setup was perfect for our family of five during Christmas, giving us plenty of space to move around. We enjoyed having separate beds, washrooms, and bathrooms on each floor, which made getting ready in the mornings a breeze. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook our own meals, and it was great to have two fridges to store snacks and drinks during our stay. The quiet location was also a plus, with convenient access to nearby attractions and shops.

We missed having face-to-face interaction with the staff during our stay, as all communication was done through email/web. Although the response was quick when necessary, it took some getting used to in this tech-savvy world. The pillows could have been more comfortable, as some members of our family had trouble sleeping with the provided flat pillows. It would have been nice to have spare pillows available for guests to make adjustments to their liking.

For us it was ideal.

the location was convenient and quiet, but that was it. the main wet/shower room downstairs was roomy enough. the main kitchen downstairs was well equipped and allowed us to cook. besides these facilities, the rest was disappointing.

The pillows provided were terrible. They were flat, and half of my family couldn't sleep well.

We stayed here with our families and found it spacious and comfortable with beds, washrooms, and kitchens on both floors. The hotel was clean and staff responded quickly to our questions. It was great for cooking breakfast and playing hide-and-seek with the children.

Nothing I didn't like to be fair.
